About the role:

The Marketing Automation Manager, Neuromodulation Patient Marketing is responsible for driving forward Boston Scientific’s data-driven marketing capabilities on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. They will have proven experience taking marketing objectives and strategies and delivering the technology solutions in Salesforce to achieve and execute them. The Marketing Automation Specialist will be focused on the execution and constant optimization of emails, forms, automation rules, CRM data segmentation, and other marketing automation tasks that support the broader DTP/B2C Digital Marketing Strategy.

As a member of the Neuromodulation Integrated Marketing Communications department, the Marketing Automation Manager will work in cross functionally with varied stakeholders to create innovative marketing automation campaign plans that advance business objectives.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Designs solutions that optimize Sales Cloud functionality, its data connections with Marketing Cloud, and features within Marketing Cloud’s suite of products
  • Create and monitor outbound email campaigns and escalate both successes and problems
  • Work with internal teams to translate marketing requirements into functional campaigns within marketing automation platform and CRM systems
  • Assists marketers in making data driven decisions using reporting and analytics to improve and report on campaign performance
  • Utilizes a blend of automation marketing, data administration / management and Salesforce implementation and management experience to provide nuanced and complex recommendations to disparate stakeholders
  • Manage email deliverability, database hygiene, subscription management and compliance with opt-in laws and regulations
  • Uses deep knowledge in connecting data between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud to enable campaigns
  • Owns the full project lifecycle of Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud implementations in an agile environment
  • Identifies and deploys 3rd party tools and technologies that enhance marketing automation capabilities (e.g. SFDC Ad Studio, etc.)
  • Partners with Product Owners, Digital Marketing Strategists and Digital Producers to plan, execute, and report on campaigns utilizing Salesforce and other adjacent technologies
  • Curates an advanced customer segmentation strategy and manages the database from a business perspective to ensure strong data integrity and clean data
  • Is the subject matter expert and owner of the business’ marketing data dictionary
  • Creates and presents education and training on new marketing capabilities in Salesforce

What we’re looking for in you:

  • 5+ years of experience as an experienced email marketer
  • 2-4 years of experience working with an enterprise automated marketing/CRM solution (Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
  • Expert knowledge of utilizing the Salesforce platform for advanced marketing campaigns
  • Experience building and managing lead generation campaigns is preferred
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud experience is preferred
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant, or similar credentials preferred
  • Solid understanding of data management and database concepts
  • Strong business case/user story development and implementation experience
  • Proficient in marketing operations and campaign reporting
  • Knowledge of email marketing best practices including deliverability, CAN-SPAM, and email data privacy
  • High level knowledge of HTML, CSS
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to help us shape our retention marketing initiatives and company
  • Strong communication, presentation, and material preparation skills required
  • Experience in medical device, biopharma, healthcare or another regulated field is a plus
