Job Summary:

The Chem lab Engineer Intern is responsible for providing lab optimization and quality improvement work. There will be opportunities to help develop innovative new lab analysis techniques as well as improvement lab management processes. They will help drive continuous improvement work and help innovate lab solutions that impact the overall manufacturing environment.

On time completion of all training, safety items, and ensuring that all work is conducted in accordance with Micron policies.

Knowledge of chemicals used in semiconductor industry

Ability to understand basic operation of chem lab equipment

Partner with chem lab team on improvement projects and the roll out of new programs.

Ability to learn new equipment and methods to support new technologies and analysis requirements.

Ability to interpret data and provide feedback to customers on how results could impact areas.

Implement new reporting techniques and innovative solutions to lab-based challenges.

Partnering with stakeholders to understand excursion events

Qualifications:

Understanding of chemistry and analytical chem lab equipment

Ability to perform advanced maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment

Intermediate PC skills and familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Intermediate data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills

Proven ability to troubleshoot problems and address root causes

Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills

Proven ability in multi-tasking complex projects

Proven ability to follow procedures and work with minimal supervision

Proven ability to communicate and present effectively

Strong understanding of technical concepts required for method development and validation

Demonstrated aptitude to learn new data reduction/acquisition software packages

Education and Experience:

Persuing a B.S in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2021 or later.
