Introduction
As a Senior AWS Cloud Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM and AWS platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.
Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior AWS Cloud Architect at IBM Services, you are providing consultative, architectural, program and engineering support for our customers' journeys to the cloud. As part of this journey you are delivering innovative solutions that are tailored to the specifics needs of our customers. Building on your extensive experience with AWS you are building next-generation cloud native applications, sophisticated system integrations or ambitious cloud migration projects in a team of brilliant builders.
In this client facing role you need to be able to translate between business and tech. By building pragmatic IT solutions for real world problems you create value for our customers every single day. Being able to deliver across different technology stacks with deep hands-on-skills you support your team and our customers by coaching, teaching and giving advice. Required Technical and Professional Expertise

As a positive, forward-looking person you have good written and verbal communication skills. You can describe requirements through simple, clear-cut user stories and technical specifications. Even in difficult circumstances you are level-headed, and you manage to infect others with your positive attitude. You are always looking to learn something new and know about the latest technical trends. You will also have:

• Several years of experience in AWS technologies such as EC2, VPC, EBS, ELB, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, Route53
• Several years of experience in delivering complex and large-scale IT projects
• Architecture-Design: Cloud-native, Hybrid, Microservices, Serverless, Programming languages, - Bash, Python, Nodejs, Ruby, Go, Java
• Containers - Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift, Ranger, Heroku
• DevOps & CI/CD, Automation/Deployment
• APIs - Rest, GraphQL, Swagger, OpenAPI, RAML
• Testing/Quality Management, Logging/Monitoring, Databases

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• AWS certifications preferred
• AWS Solution Architect Professional certification would be real bonus to have
• Experience working with large enterprise clients
