Your Role and Responsibilities
Mechanical Engineer, IBM Corporation, US: Design and Development Microcode for the DS8000. Collaborate with the Hardware team on mechanical designs. Interface with development in order to mold designs into hardware solutions. Utilize DFX/DFM early in design to streamline implementations and reduce time to market. Utilize Enterprise-level business system architectures, electrical engineering methods, enterprise systems, Catia, SolidWorks, Linux/AIX/UNIX.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3+ years experience in Catia, SolidWorks
3+ years experience with Linux
Team player with great interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
Proven working experience in mechanical engineering and peer reviews
Agile development skills
Good time-management skills
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, or related.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
5+ years of experience in hardware development
