We’re looking for a systems administrator with a solid background in Windows systems administration and network configuration to help us plan and develop the next-generation computing environment for the intelligence community.As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll configure and maintain systems and infrastructure used by scientists to develop next-generation analysis algorithms, and constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. You'll be very hands-on technical with primary responsibilities for the compute, storage, and LAN of the data center and virtual environments. Your technical expertise will help to mitigate equipment failures in order to provide constant compute and data systems availability, and with the integration of new infrastructure equipment in order to retire legacy systems. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like cloud computing and virtualization technologies. You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with systems administration
• Experience with performing systems administration tasks, including installing software, performing system back-ups, and administering security in a Linux RHEL, CentOS, and Windows Server 2016 and 2019 environment
• Experience with administration of VMWare environments
• Experience with Windows Active Directory 2016+ installation, configuration, troubleshooting, backup, and adding user accounts and groups
• Experience with Windows Image Server provisioning strategies
• Experience with deploying resources and optimizing resource performance in either a Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud environment
• Top Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• CompTIA Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with application deployment and patch management using Windows SCCM
• Experience with HP Coheisty Backup Solution
• Experience with the use of IT infrastructure automation tools, including Puppet, Ansible, Spacewalk, or Chef in a Linux environment
• Experience with maintaining a high-performance computing (HPC) environment
• Knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI) products, including AWS Workspaces, Windows Virtual Desktops, or VMware Horizon View
• Knowledge of Wireless Networking and topologies, including basic 802.11 functions and standards
• Knowledge of concepts related to hyper-converged infrastructure and hybrid and multi-Cloud environments
• Knowledge of Slurm, Singularity, and other HPC tools

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
