Whether it’s our Engineering teams that need a test environment or our software running in production, we are seeking skilled systems management professionals ready for the challenge.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The Production Support Tools Specialist role is responsible for configuration and administration of mainframe production tools.
The tasks are performed in accordance with IBM Global Services standards. The role requires frequent after hours and weekend activity in order to complete tasks outside of customer prime time.
2- Skill:
Mainframe (JES2/JES3, JCL, COBOL II, TWS)-
Unix (Shell scripts, crontab , Java to develop tools and utilities as needed for CMOD)- IBM Content Navigator stack (Red Hat Linux, WAS ND, CMOD and ICN install, IBM HTTP Server install and configure, Key and Certificate Management, New Relic install and configure for monitoring the servers.- DB2 (create DB, Table space and Tables using provided JCLs and scripts; Steps to back up existing CMOD instance before upgrades)
- CMOD: Create, change and update reports; support daily production activities- Understand RMDS and CMOD well enough to map RACF entitlements to CMOD as well as create data model and finally migrate reports from RMDS into CMOD- Ownership, Leadership
