Job Description

Catawiki is a young, fast growing international company. We are currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Catawiki Finance team in Assen. You will be working in a team of two financial employees, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. The goal of the finance team in Assen is to lay the foundation for timely and reliable management information so that the right decisions can be made by the Management Team.

What do you do?

  • Manage the correct and complete processing of supplier invoices, bank transactions, salary journals and accounting entries for the parent company and foreign subsidiaries
  • Reconciliation of the Catawiki platform with the financial system (Workday)
  • Organise and actively contribute in the monthly closing process
  • Preparing and paying supplier invoices + expenses
  • Ensuring all general ledger balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a periodic basis
  • Reconciliation of the administration of the foreign entities with our own administration
  • Assisting and supporting in preparing (ad-hoc) business cases

Who are you?

Are you a strong analytical and accurate financial who loves to work in a very dynamic, ever changing and challenging environment with great opportunities? We are looking for someone with the following Skills and Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years hands-on experience in financial accounting, preferably in e-commerce or online business
  • (Strong) knowledge of Excel/Sheets and SQL is preferred
  • Knowledge of VAT, BUA and WKR legislation is also preferred
  • MBO+ / HBO
  • A structured, organised approach and a positive attitude
  • Willing to travel between the two offices in Assen and Amsterdam
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
