OVERVIEW:

  • Develop and administering an internal data infrastructure based on the Hadoop Data Lake and relating to Supply Chain Control Tower product development and enablement of self-service analytics
  • Works closely with Supply Chain teams to understanding business requirements and translate these into functional solutions: processes and/or applications
  • Assists Supply Chain teams in the navigation of the data infrastructure, applications, and data relationships
  • Reports to the Manager of the Center of Excellence. This position does not have any direct reports

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain a data-infrastructure comprising internal, external, and transformed data. This consists of gathering, storing, transforming, and cataloging data and processes
  • Customize and/or develop applications tailored to the needs of the Supply Chain teams
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to ideate and receive instruction on business requirements, to inform the above job duties
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies with appropriate technology solutions
  • Work within a business/technology Product Team construct, using agile and waterfall project methodologies
  • Participate in agile project methodology meetings (e.g. Scrum, Sprint Planning, Retrospective)
  • Maintain strong partnerships though engagement with supply chain teams
  • Be a trusted advisor through the development of relationships with MAST internal partners within Logistics, Information Technology, Finance, and Production. Ability to provide these groups with data and applications capabilities, which are utilized for analytics enablement in order to improve the alignment between demand, supply, and operations capabilities.
Qualifications

• Formal education in a Computer Science (CS) or Management Information Systems (MIS) discipline and previous work experience
• Supply chain knowledge through either formal education or previous work experience
• Database design and administration (SQL Server or equivalent) and knowledge of distributed file systems (Map R/Hadoop)
• Fluent in coding language and their practical application in process automation and data manipulation
• Demonstrated ability to architect complicated and large-scale data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
• Functional familiarity with supply chain applications a plus: ERP, WMS, TMS, YMS, etc.
• Gather and apply Supply Chain and IT progressive practices, concepts, and tools within area
• Remain curious, solve problems, and drive improvement
• Evolve to meet rapidly changing needs, quickly prioritize deliverables, and demonstrate urgency
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships through delivering on personal accountabilities
• Ability to multi-task and progress more than one project at a time
