Eaton’s Wonderware West Division is currently seeking a System Consultant to join our team. This position is based remotely in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Louisiana, Utah, Colorado, or Oklahoma.

Position Overview:

Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas business has an opening within their Wonderware West business for a System Consultant in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Louisiana, Utah, Colorado, or Oklahoma. Eaton's Wonderware West business combines outstanding industry expertise with market-leading software to develop optimized client solutions that deliver real-time success for customers operating in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Food and Beverage, Solar Power, Infrastructure, Life Sciences and Water & Wastewater.

Wonderware West, an Eaton owned distributor of AVEVA software, leverages years of industry expertise to collaborate with clients to specify real-time information solutions to drive digital transformation success for customers operating in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Food and Beverage, Solar Power, Infrastructure, Life Sciences and Water & Wastewater industries.

The System Consultant will be responsible for providing deep technical expertise for our information solutions as well as conveying the value proposition of a solution or product during the sales cycle.

In this function you will:
  • Work with the sales team and sales management to develop sales strategy and tactical execution of said strategy
  • Provide consultative business insights to our new and existing customer base to solidify new business as well as grow and add value to our existing business
  • Help to create automation strategies based upon customer goals in combination with existing and road map software solutions.
  • Develop system architectures to address the current and future needs of the customer
  • Align industry insights to key customer priorities and tie those insights back to Wonderware West unique differentiators
  • Have a deep understanding of Automation software (Wonderware as well as prevailing technology preferred) and how customers apply solutions to provide value to their businesses
  • Talk to a wide range of decision influencers and stakeholders at all levels within the organization
  • Communicate complex concepts in simple terms to a variety of audiences from the extremely technical to the non-technical

QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Computer Science or business management
  • 5+ experience in industrial process automation consulting or integration
  • 5+ years’ experience in sales or technical sales role
  • 5+ years of experience with Industrial software
  • At least two successful Industrial Software implementation
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Louisiana, Utah, Colorado, or Oklahoma will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of industrial process automation architectures and solution sets to address customer needs across a wide array of challenges in the market place
  • Demonstrated experience and success within a team selling approach
  • Strong understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems(MES) in Wonderware or competing technologies
  • Wonderware Certifications in System Platform, InTouch and Historian
  • Strong understanding of challenges within the food and beverage and manufacturing markets and able to provide insightful solutions to those challenges
Position Criteria:
  • Excellent written and oral technical presentation skills
  • Ability to influence/persuade others
  • Interest in researching and staying current with prevailing industry trends
  • Self-starter that has a desire to consume information rapidly and constantly so as to continue to develop knowledge base
  • Ability to lead a conversation and take control of any situation where and when necessary
  • Strong technical and business background in industrial process automation specific to manufacturing, oil and gas, petrochemical and petroleum refining, power generation and utilities, and water and wastewater.
  • Solutions that include software solutions for plant intelligence, human machine interfaces (HMI), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, plant historians.
