Job Responsibilities As the Global Digital Marketing Manager, you will be primarily responsible for marketing automation program for Viasat’s brand, products, and services, as well as for the performance of Paid Social ad spend for lead generation. Focused on customer acquisition and building the brand, this role applies best practices to take advantage of Paid Social and Email marketing opportunities, around the world and within diverse cultures and locales, to generate leads and maximize return by driving conversions. Working with Viasat’s business units, regions, agencies, content, brand and creative teams, you will be accountable for developing, communicating, and the ongoing management/optimization of Paid Social campaigns and Marketing Automation flows to support the overall digital marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Digital Marketing and have a strong digital marketing background to help evangelize Paid Social and Marketing Automation throughout the company, have multi-cultural business experience, and have strong experience in digital marketing management. • Develop the Lead Generation digital marketing program within the organization, focusing on performance of Paid Social, Lead Nurturing, and Email marketing channels. • Manage a small team of skilled Marketing Automation and Paid Social professionals, as well as a Digital Marketing agency to drive sales performance and maximize return. • Elevate the Paid Social marketing strategy for the ISP business, identifying key similarities and differences in digital customer journeys across personas and target segments. • Liaison between Digital Marketing Center of Excellence and international/regional businesses, establishing strong communication with sales, marketing leads, foreign or domestic agencies and vendors. • Management of outside vendors, agencies, and translation services to ensure service requirements are clearly understood and all service expectations are delivered. • Coordination with Direct Sales teams, building rapport and synergy between lead generation and sales conversion. • Focus on KPIs that are unique to each business or campaign, driving results and recommendations for improving incremental performance of moving leads through the conversion cycle. • Manage the Marketing Automation platform, including maintenance, advancement, training, and integrations with other marketing platforms and tools. • Develop the Email marketing plan, Marketing Automation Program, and lead nurture flows. • Lead Paid Social efforts and benchmarking globally, seeking opportunities for localization and cultural relevance. • Establish ongoing content and Paid Social optimization workflows between website, content, and business unit marketing teams, seeking new advertising opportunities and ensuring efficient and quality fulfillment. • Maintain current knowledgebase of Social marketing best practices and strategies, offering thought leadership within the organization • Assist with onboarding marketing technology and analytics, with consulting and training across various roles and teams in the company. • Explore and test new digital marketing rollouts, betas, advertising formats, and targeting opportunities, piloting then replicating top performing practices across the business. • Collaborate within the marketing teams to collectively drive all aspects of Digital Advertising, seeking synergy with display, paid search, organic search, and offline channels. • Assess and recommend revisions to campaign creative and landing pages, supporting the culture of testing and optimization. • Proactively review, analyze, report, and communicate performance metrics and suggest recommendations to improve Paid Social marketing programs, speaking directly with marketing executives about the impact to the business. Requirements • 5+ years digital marketing experience, managing Marketing Automation and/or Paid Social accounts with six-figure monthly budgets. • 2+ years managing a team. • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field. • Experience with Marketo or other Marketing Automation platforms, Salesforce or other CRM integrations, and Paid Social media strategy and execution. • Experience working with web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics, A/B testing tools a plus. • Excellent organizational project management and communications skills with a strong attention to detail and self-motivated. • Ability to build relationships, work across departments and business units, building consensus and delivering upon stated objectives. • A consistent record of driving follow-through, leading a program from conception through completion, and willing to seek guidance as needed. • Have strong analytical skills with ability to drive actions from large data sets. • Problem solving ability and consideration of process improvements. • Possess critical strategic thinking, readily identify obstacles and offer solutions. • Ability to write concise and clear guidance or summaries based on insights. • Strong budget, accounting, and forecasting skills. • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills. • Strong Microsoft Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. • Ability to work effectively either remote or in an office setting. Preferences: • MBA or advanced Marketing degree a plus. • Digital Marketing Agency experience a plus. • Marketo Certification (or similar) and/or Facebook Blueprint Certification preferred. • Experience with managing campaigns for a B2C and/or B2B telecom, technology, services, or subscription-based advertiser.
