About the job

• Support the expansion of our Operations Research capabilities to ensure scalability and optimal resource planning over the entire supply chain, especially for optimised product planning (recipe and menu planning)
• Formulate mathematical models, apply mathematical programming and deploy optimization algorithms to strengthen data-driven processes as well as automated decision making
• Write data and system requirements for the improvement of our inhouse-systems; provide prototyping
• Deep-dive into large data assets and create reports to underline the above average business impact of your provided solutions and suggest proactively new business projects with large optimization potential
• Work cross-functional with business stakeholders as well as coordinate with engineering and other data teams
• Be responsible for various OR-related projects, organize and fulfill all business prerequisites and provide training support in local countries

Who we are looking for

• Master's degree from a top-tier university in Operations Research, Management Science, Industrial Engineering or another optimization related field.
• Academic or industrial experience in solving optimization problems, for example in the area of logistics, using metaheuristics, constraint programming and/or MIP solvers (as CPLEX, Gurobi or similar)
• Proven track record with data-intensive projects using tools and languages such as Python, SQL and Tableau
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Must be highly proactive, possess advanced problem-solving ability, critical and strategic thinking
• Highly effective and excellent project management skills; the ability to participate and lead multiple high-profile projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Willingness to travel (occasionally)
