Job Description

We’re looking to hire a Senior SEO Specialist to join our International SEO team at Shopify! Shopify currently powers more than 1,000,000 merchants worldwide, with thousands of new stores signing up each month. Few tech companies have grown as quickly as Shopify and SEO has been a main driver of this growth. Your goal? Help us accelerate this growth in one of the world’s largest markets - China. This new position would be responsible for growing organic traffic in our Chinese market. As the Senior SEO Specialist for China, you will be committed to expanding our search presence on Baidu by optimizing, translating and working with teams to add content that is important to entrepreneurs in China. Requirements 任职要求:

• Must be located in mainland China and be a native Chinese speaker with high English proficiency
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and ever-changing environment
• The ability to strategize, plan, implement and monitor projects independently
• 5 year+ SEO related working experience
• Experience ranking new websites on Baidu
• Experience using Baidu Webmaster Tools, Baidu Analytics and various tools related to SEO
• Adaptability to work in both a collaborative team environment and independently
• Great communication skills
• A love for problem solving
• A detail oriented & analytical mindset
• Resourcefulness to research and seek out relevant information when needed
• Experience using competitive analysis tools
• Some experience with social word of mouth (SWOM) optimization
• 中文为母语,英语能作为工作语言,定居中国大陆境内
• 5年以上SEO相关工作经验
• 能够适应和拥抱快节奏,积极创新和不断变化的工作环境
• 有独立制定和实施战略和计划,并监控其成效的经验

Responsibilities 部分工作内容:

• Test theories
• Create new opportunities for SEO that make the most sense for Shopify
• Identify SEO opportunities that would increase overall organic traffic
• Perform keyword research
• Conduct on-page analysis to ensure that different landing pages on Shopify.cn are optimized
• Integrate with other teams across Shopify
• Integrate in a service-like operation - teams send a request, the SEO team puts these requests in a queue and provide support
• Consult and provide recommendations to an array of different teams
• Learn from leading SEO industry experts
• Optimize on-page and technical aspects of the website for Baidu
