We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Full Stack Developer to join our Engagement team and support the development of our engagement platforms and web properties. The ideal candidate is passionate about building top-notch software, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has deep experience in various areas of software engineering.

You will be...

• Developing new user-facing and internal features that are responsive and reliable
• Collaborating with designers to turn UI/UX design mockups into reusable, well-written code
• Creating automated and manual QA tests for web apps and third-party integrations
• Identifying and minimizing technical debt by refactoring legacy code
• Maintaining and extending the capabilities of existing web apps
• Optimizing web infrastructure to ensure a reliable web experience for our users

• Front-end: Modern JavaScript, ReactJS, Webpack, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap 4
• Back-end: Python, Django, Wagtail CMS
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Cloud service providers: AWS, Heroku
• Other: Travis-CI, Docker, Terraform, Git, GitHub

What you bring:

• 2+ years of demonstrable experience working with front-end technologies, preferably ReactJS
• 2+ years of proven back-end experience designing, building, and maintaining REST APIs
• Experience with open source projects with a public portfolio on GitHub is an asset
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects at once
• Experience working remotely. While the development team is based in North America, we also collaborate with other geographically distributed teams
