Our Exciting Opportunity

In February 2019, Group Function Legal Affairs & Compliance (GFLA) established a Legal Strategy and Operations unit to drive the evolution of GFLA’s operating model and co-ordinate the execution of change, targeting improved impact and efficiency. Our unit’s purpose is to improve GFLA core work in service delivery to contribute to Ericsson’s sustainable business by simplifying ways of working, challenging established thinking, and executing specific improvement projects within our core responsibilities, together with other GFLA units.

Do you have experience with helping legal organizations use process and technology to improve efficiency or business performance; or working in legal operations in a global company or internationally?

We are now looking to recruit a Legal Strategy & Operations Paralegal to continue to build the unit’s capabilities! The position will play a vital role in the operational responsibility and management of our external legal service provider engagements and billing, utilizing technology. It will require interest and skill in process simplification, technology use and administration, and digital transformation generally. Furthermore, it will require interactions with all levels of GFLA, other Ericsson units and legal service providers.

You will

  • Assist and support our business process and technology for managing external legal service providers, interacting with GFLA, other Ericsson units, and legal service providers.
  • Be our global liaison and administrator or our legal spend management (e-billing) system for managing matters, billing, accruals and reporting. This can include supporting internal and external users with matter logging, invoice processing, as well as providing trainings, and extracting reports.
  • Support our unit with other process improvements and technology implementation to deliver projects, programs and our other unit core responsibilities.

To be successful in the role you must have

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferred areas of study include Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics, and/or Supply Chain Management
  • Independent and enterprising
  • High attention to detail, working with and analyzing data
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Great efficiency, ability to work in fast-paced environment and workload
  • Proficiency in technology, processes and workflows
  • Good networking and communication skills at all seniority levels
