Your Role and Responsibilities
The Corporate Social Responsibility Manager for China is responsible for implementing, managing and promoting IBM's global Citizenship programs and activities in China. They are also considered a thought leader in important social and economic issues relevant to China, including corporate social responsibility, education and skills, disaster response, and are able to provide visibility for IBM’s corporate social responsibility programs as well as leadership in public private partnerships.
The person in this role works closely with IBM’s Citizenship Global team, the Country Chairman and CEO, country senior leadership team and colleagues in Marketing & Communications, Government Regulation Affairs, Human Resources, Client Innovation Center, China Research Lab and the wider IBM team. The Citizenship Manager also works with client teams to create value for IBM. Externally they form partnerships with key public sector and not-for-profit leaders and organizations and interact with a network of influencers both internally and externally.
To manage successful implementation and impact of key global Corporate Citizenship programs, identifying opportunities to leverage IBM resources and utilize IBM volunteers’ skills and talents.
To develop sustained partnerships and relationships with key government and community organizations and influencers relevant to IBM Citizenship programs and the business.
To raise the profile of the IBM corporation and its brand through effective use of social and traditional media internally and externally
To work effectively with all internal IBM functions: Marketing and Communications, Human Resources, Government Regulation Affairs and other key business units
To be recognized as a leader, and team player in the community and within IBM
To manage budget for delivery of programs within the country and associated processes and business controls.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Excellent management and organizational skills and the ability to manage and implement high level projects. Ability to manage time and responsibilities effectively and drive programs to successful completion.
Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate orally and in writing, ideas and concepts to critical external and internal audiences. Strong verbal and written English, with strong presentation skill
Strong knowledge of key public policy issues, and the role and function of key local, state and federal government leaders and the not-for-profit sector.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and ability to make informed judgments and effective partnerships with government, the not-for-profit sector, think tanks and other companies
Knowledge and awareness of global and local Citizenship issues and strategies
