Do you want to help create the next generation of Contract Negotiators and help shape the future of the EMEAR Legal Team?

We are looking for someone dynamic and creative to manage, lead and further evolve the RSE and Legal Graduate (intern) teams within EMEAR Legal.

What You'll Do

Overall management of the RSE and Legal Graduate (intern) teams with a focus on creating efficiencies and improving processes. The role includes:

General

  • Managing hiring, budgeting, performance reviews, promotions and other company-related matters and supporting your direct reports in their own career development.

RSE

  • Managing work-type and workflow to and from the RSE;
  • Working with internal stakeholders (including CNs, CX and the Data Privacy and Legal Enablement Teams to ensure alignment and that the RSE provides first class, relevant support);
  • Identifying and managing EMEAR Legal projects to be carried out by RSE (whilst implementing a consistent approach to capturing, maintaining and sharing the output);
  • Continuously evaluating and further developing the RSE, its tools and processes.
  • Working with the EMEAR Legal Management to ensure distinction yet alignment between the Legal Graduates, RSE, GCoE, CNs and the EMEAR Legal Department in general.

Legal Graduates

  • Recruiting Graduates, where each Graduate is engaged on a 6-month rotation;
  • Working with CNs and Graduates to ensure each receives quality support from the other, in accordance with the Legal Graduate Programme;
  • Coaching and developing each Graduate’s strengths in preparation for the next step in their careers.

Who You'll Work With

You will report directly into the EMEAR General Counsel and work with other EMEAR Legal Managers with regards the RSE/Legal Graduate strategy. On a daily basis you will work with Contract Negotiators and those internal stakeholders which support and are supported by the your RSE and Legal Graduate intern teams.

Who You Are

You have 10+ years experience in providing legal support to a legal sales organization, especially with regards complex technology transactions, data privacy and software solutions. You have excellent academic credentials with the ability to understand complex contractual issues, assess risk, and provide concise, plain English, business-focused legal advice. You are a sophisticated, analytical thinker who can quickly sort through complex legal and business issues with multiple moving parts and render sound, pragmatic advice.

You have proven project and leadership skills and are able to build and foster overall strong business relationships, working cross-functionally, both with legal and business stakeholders. Track record of building business relationships with and gaining trust of internal clients. Extraordinary verbal and written communications and inter-personal skills.

You are a mentor with strong people-management skills who can lead, motivate, coach and develop team members, while fostering a creative and expansive collaborative work environment and the ability to support and coach others. You are ready to manage legal teams responsible for supporting product sales, services and other legal matters.

You have a futuristic vision, are creative and innovative and have the ability to take the right decision at the right time including improvements in appropriate processes and legal operations. You have excellent communication skills and are able to articulate and drive vision to completion. Proven track record of creating and driving efficiencies and improving processes.
