Overview

Tiffany & Co. is currently seeking an IT Project Manager to manage global technology transformation for retail systems and applications. This position will be responsible for the management of select projects within Information Technology (IT), through the application of IT PMO tools and techniques. The Project Manager manages resources, scope, and time throughout the project lifecycle while guiding the project team from business needs and project objectives to identify and refine requirements, and ultimately through the development and maintenance of the project management plan. This position is based in Parsippany, NJ but requires the flexibility to be in our New York city office throughout the month.

Responsibilities

The IT Project Manager will manage the daily execution of activities across selected project tracks/work streams (e.g., estimation, scoping, build, deployment, budget, staffing, vendor management), including integrating business and IT work efforts, as well as integrating Tiffany & Co. associates and 3rd party service provider work efforts. Area of focus will be Customer Relationship Management (CRM), implementation of commerce Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, enhancements to/integrations between Sterling Order Management system and other core systems, implementation of inventory management systems. The Project Manager will develop and maintain core deliverables while leading project execution for select cross functional initiatives. This position will apply project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques in supporting project managers to drive the development and application of project management methodology. They will ac as a point of escalation to address projects with variances from scope, customer satisfaction issues and other issues including concerns across business functions.

The IT Project Manager will ensure that project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained for projects while monitoring team performance against plans. This position will be responsible for effective financial and project progress forecasting, and reports as appropriate which includes tracking project issues, performance, and progress for reporting to the PMO Director. Additionally, this role will manage change and promote the continuous improvement of project management related processes through improved/enhanced methodologies. This role will collaborate with PMO leadership to enhance the SDLC methodology and templates for project execution while partnering with Release Management to determine staging and production release windows and use of shared / integrated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant experience in the project team environment as a Project Manager
• 7 to 10 years’ experience working as a business or IT analyst with 5+ years in project management
• Project management experience with retail systems and applications
• Proven analyst skills spanning business functions and applications and knowledge of full lifecycle solution development, from requirements gathering through build, test, deploy, and support
• Experience in infrastructure and application technology domains are required, (networks, telephony, servers, storage, middleware, security, messaging, data bases, applications, security, etc.)
• Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office including Visio, MS Project, SharePoint
• Strong organizational, leadership, problem solving and influencing skills are required along with having sensitivity to the multi-cultural characteristics of a global IT organization
• Ability to travel to New York a few times per month
• Experience in eCommerce solutioning is ideal
• PMI and ITIL certifications preferred
