Job Description

Position Title: ASSOCIATE TRADE MARKETING MANAGER - WRITING (12 MONTHS CONTRACT) Reports to: Sr. Manager Channel Marketing Location: Milan Job Summary: The Associate Trade Marketing Manager will commercialize sales and marketing programs across all Channels of distribution in Italy, identifying and executing Channel-specific business growth opportunities. Scope of responsibilities include the integration of the Channel profile into trade marketing strategies/sales plans, aligning on Channel priorities with Senior Trade Marketing Manager and regional Sales Director, establishing those priorities across Customers and sales teams.
Job Duties:Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Channel Strategy
• Leads establishment of Channel priorities, Identifies Priority customers & establishes with local sales teams
• Contributes in development of Channel/Regional strategy for specific Channels/Customers
• Leads integration of Channel profile into trade strategies and sales plans
Annual Planning
• Understands the market insights and uses those to contribute to annual planning and longer term strategy.
• BTS detailed by sku preparation for YOY growth, maximise space.
• Evaluates the market to give channel perspective for range assortment – pan EMEA range by channel.
Business Plan Execution (Channel & Customer)
• Develops and aligns with Senior Trade Marketing Manager on trade commercialization plans by Channel within EMEA region in alignment with strategy.
• Articulates Channel Plans to priority customers in alignment with strategy.
• Monitors accuracy and deployment of plans
• Monitors channel performance and identifies solutions for corrective actions to the plan
Intelligence
• Monitors Customer/Channel intelligence (orders, ships, POS, IRI, and customer inventory) taking corrective action as needed
• Shares Channel business data (market, shopper, and end-user) ensuring integration into key customer plans and decisions
• Customer / Channel intelligence is shared within regular business review forums.Pricing and Trade Fund Guidance
• Monitors pricing across Brands and Channels and liaises with Sales Direector and Senior Trade Marketing Manager
• Clarifies Channel and Regional promotion and pricing activity to ensure alignment with Strategy.
In Store Activation
• Plans range implementation, in-store presence, activities to drive stronger sell through (POS, FSDUs, Front of Store, GE, Overlays Customer and Consumer Programmes)
Perfect Launch
• Optimizes new product launch and merchandising activities for Channels across markets in scope
• Manages and enables launch activation tactics for Channel/Region
• Ensures communication with Sales and Demand Planners for correct set up / forecasting / soft or hard product changes

QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor's degree (emphasis in business/marketing or related field), MBA or other advanced degree highly preferred
• 5+ years of experience working with a leading CPG company (Channel Management, Brand Management, Marketing, Sales or related position), preferable with Mass & Discounters Channel experience in Mass / BLX
• Strategic thinking, self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with aggressive deadlines
• Advanced analytical skills and computer software proficiency (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
• Strong familiarity with syndicated data, measures and software (e.g. NPD, Nielsen/Nitro, IRI, Consumer Panel.)
• Multi-channel experience and shopper understanding.
• Must be able to travel 10-20% of the time.
