Senior Solutions Marketing Manager Internet of Things IOT
Summary
The Senior Solutions Marketing Manager will excel in a dynamic, fast paced environment and will be responsible for Aruba ESP (Edge Services Platform) marketing. Aruba ESP is a modern networking platform that leverages cloud-native technologies and best practices and advanced innovations such as AI, ML and automation to help businesses convert the explosion of IoT data into new revenue streams and operational efficiencies. This marketing manager will be part of the Aruba ESP team focused on educating and evangelizing the short and long-term value of Aruba ESP across Aruba and HPE, IoT technology partners and to networking buyers of all sizes, types and locations. This role will focus on IoT-related elements of Aruba ESP, working closely with product management, product marketing peers, field marketing, corporate marketing, and sales across Aruba and HPE. The marketing manager must have a strong understanding of at least one networking domain (wireless, wired or SD-WAN; ) and the IoT industry landscape. Experience with Cloud is also strongly desired. The marketing manager will develop an expert understanding of the solution, buyers and their needs, and act as a subject matter expert (SME) and evangelist to internal and external audiences, partner with internal technology partner resources, and drive the Aruba ESP point of view through all relevant channels.
Reporting Line: Sr. Director, Cloud and Software Product & Solutions Marketing (based in Santa Clara)
Responsibilities:
- Evangelize the joint Aruba ESP / IoT message, relevance and value across Aruba/HPE, to IoT technology partners and to target audience using all relevant communication channels and methods.
- Develop deep understanding of the target audience by working with technology partners to gather insight about target personas, buyer needs and the purchase decision process
- Work with partners to drive an audience-centric marketing approach within the organization, ensuring that messaging, content and campaign strategies are centered around customer buying needs, pain points, and emotional triggers
- Work with Aruba ESP marketing team to develop and socialize marketing plans and launch plans
- Work with Aruba ESP marketing team to devise product positioning, value propositions and messaging that resonates with the target buyers and author source messaging document
- Partner with marketing peers across Aruba and HPE to produce relevant content for target buyers across the buyer’s journey
- Collaborate with sales enablement function to develop sales enablement plan and content
- Provide market and buyer insights to support the development of campaign strategies including awareness and demand generation
- Serve as market-facing subject matter expert (SME) and evangelist for Aruba ESP / IoT and interface with industry analysts as the company representative
- Develop competitive comparisons for use in positioning solution against similar offerings from other vendors
- Work with the voice of the customer team to develop customer references, testimonials and case studies for external and internal use
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing efforts

Background/Experience
- 8-10 years of product marketing experience
- Related market/industry experience in SaaS-based solutions and WAN/LAN desirable
- Technical/product category experience desirable
- Product management experience a plus
