Job Description

Data Specialist, IBM Corporation, Ann Arbor, MI: Lead the ETL team, provide support and technical guidance to team members. Prioritize work based on demand and provide guidance to team members. Implement ETL solution for multi-terabyte Data Warehouse and understand its impacts. Design and develop ETL solutions using DataStage, Oracle and XML. Conduct design review session with different stake holders; Perform DataStage ETL code promotions and some basic DevOps tasks. Perform performance tuning of ETL jobs, using partitioning methods in DataStage. Establish policies and best practices for optimizing ETL data throughput/accessibility. Partner and work with the Leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of project. Communicate risks and ensures understanding of these risks. Required: Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Masters degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Program Analyst or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Data Warehousing, Solution Design, Architecture, Datastage, Informatica, Oracle and Unix. Full time. S53 .
