Director of Media Partnerships - AR/VR

The Reality Labs Platform and Product Partnerships team is seeking a talented, highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Partnerships team. This individual must have a strong background working with media partners whether in content acquisition and/or distribution on tech platforms (e.g., SmartTV, OTT devices, etc.). Facebook's AR/VR organization brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and platform. The work is dynamic and will span across VR, Facebook Portal and future devices. The Director of Media Partnerships - AR/VR will drive the partnerships from term sheet negotiations through product launches, managing the relationships, and growing, measuring and optimizing partnership success. We need a leader who has proven success in working on multiple high-profile partnerships and enjoys managing people & their careers. You will be passionate about new hardware, platforms and content and enjoy working with product teams. Additionally, you will have experience working with multiple partners and be comfortable navigating cross-functional teams to get the job done. The team is a small, agile team looking for someone who is passionate about media and hardware, and the creation of new ecosystems. This position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your strong understanding of the intersection between the Internet, high-tech and media industries to structure innovative and impactful partnerships. • Take the lead to identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage strategic media partnerships that enable valuable user experiences and support the strategic objectives of the AR/VR organization
• Lead a strong team of 6 business development and strategic partner managers
• Work cross-functionally in a matrixed BD and corporate structure
• Represent the AR/VR organization in meetings with executives from other companies
• Work cross-functionally with our FB media partnerships team
• Think holistically and define partnerships to drive hardware, content and developer ecosystems for first-of-their-kind hardware products
• Model, negotiate and close complex deals encompassing new business models and go-to-market strategies

• 15+ years of business development experience in the Internet, media and high-tech industries
• Bachelors Degree

• Highly strategic and experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements, including legal aspects of negotiation
• History of proven success at high level negotiations
• Team management experience
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
• Experience in a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous start-up environment
• Interpersonal skills and experience developing working relationships inside and outside Oculus
• Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented and highly organized
• Communication skills
