Engineering Manager - Learning Services

Chegg Learning Services Engineering provides products and solutions that serve over 4 million students annually. We are looking for an Engineering Manager who will help us build an engineering team in Israel to deliver key identity and access management services shared across Chegg products

Some of the things you’ll do:

• You will build and lead a team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development.
• Own your team's success and deliver high-quality results in a timely manner.
• Lead and participate in critical technical, design, and product discussions with leaders across our engineering, product, and business teams.
• Work closely with other teams, locally and remotely, to ensure we build resilient systems that can scale.
• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering management team, many of them remote, to align engineering-wide priorities.
• Help implement effective engineering processes and policies

You may be a fit for this role if you:

• Have a passion for platform services and APIs as a product.
• Have 2+ years of engineering management experience leading productive, high functioning teams.
• You are comfortable leading a team composed of different engineering disciplines: frontend, backend.
• You have experience working effectively with engineering partners in remote sites.
• Strive for technical excellence and longevity of solutions.
• You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• You love developing and growing people and have a tracked record doing it.
• Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
