Position title: Financial Analyst (Central Europe & Nordics) - Writing
Location: Hamburg, Germany
Reports to: Senior Commercial Finance Manager
Contract type: Permanent, full-timeJob summaryAs a Financial Analyst you will support Sales and Marketing teams in D-A-CH and Scandinavian countries with commercial finance support (Invoice sales to Revenue / Mix). You will work independently, reporting to Sr. Commercial Finance Manager based in Spain and closely cooperate with the regional Sales Director in Germany.Key responsibilities:

• Ensures that all entries / corrections are booked on time against operating cycle
• Ensures deliverance of Customer Program cycle in the regions
• Drives financial integrity through the organization and promotes respect of controls as part of the infrastructure of the business
• Provides support during month close on net sales commentary and standard margin
• Monitor overdues and regional Days Sales Outstanding to ensure target achievement, and connects with sales organization, and Accounts Receivable team
• Supports sales leads in regional performance analysis and forecasting process
• Supports Budget built up and provide commentaries on key business drivers
• Serves as an advisor to business leaders; identifies opportunities, risks and challenges the business on growth expectations
• Guides and leads on promotion requests approval driven by Sales and Trade Marketing
• Collaborates with functional leaders and influences key investment decisions by providing accurate and timely analysis to drive business performance and optimize return on investment
• Calculates sales bonus achievement and communicates to HR and sales lead
• Provides ad hoc reporting and analysis to support the effective decision making

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 2+ years of relevant/similar commercial Accounting/Finance experience (US GAAP and IFRS)
• Good command of main MS Office applications with advanced Excel skills
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications:

• University degree in Finance (BA/MS/MBA) or Accounting/Finance Qualification (ACCA/CIMA/or equivalent).
• SAP and Hyperion working knowledge
• Team player with good communication skills
• Proactively plan and prioritize work load
• Good organizational and problem solving skills
• Able to work in an international environment, in a matrix organization
