We are recruiting for the following position(s):

Position Summary:

On-Call Echo Tech position available at our Seattle White Center Medical Clinic. The Echocardiographer (cardiac sonographer/echo technician), under the direction of their Nurse Manager, is responsible for obtaining high quality recordings of ultrasound images of the heart and related structures for the cardiologist who will interpret the examination. The echo tech will perform a complete resting echocardiogram and/or complete stress echocardiogram as ordered. This is a technical position requiring a highly skilled operator with knowledge of the various types of ultrasound procedures. Work situations require clinical interpretive knowledge, independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity in performing procedures. External contacts include patients, family members, and physicians. Internal contacts are schedulers, MA’s and the cardiologist on staff.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of a CAAHEP or CMA approved School of Diagnostic Ultrasound or equivalent amount of on the job training as outlined by ICAEL accreditation requirements.
  • Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers with a specialty Registration of Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers (RDCS).
  • If RDCS registry eligible, must receive RDCS certification within 12 months of hire. Registered with Cardiovascular Credentialing International as Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) may be substituted for RDCS with the expectation of obtaining ARDMS registry within 12 months of hire.
