Introduction
System Administrators are the gatekeepers to the many systems that run our company and our clients. As a System Admin with IBM, you will have the opportunity to provide high-value IT services and leverage our leading-edge technology portfolio in our global network. Your work has a direct impact on the day-to-day productivity of our business by ensuring integrity of, and access to, our most important resource: data.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The purpose for the System Administrator role is to protect our critical information, systems, and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy.
* Troubleshooting of patching issues
* Resolve routine operational issues
* Maintain network and system security
* Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
From 2 to 3 years in hands on experience at IT industry with:
- At least 12 months in an system administrator role
- Experience with or knowledge of Websphere, Middleware, programming languages and operating systems, Blue Cloud servers, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools.
- Expertise in system security including patch management, Single-Sign-On Certificates, TLS Encryption
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Professional Certifications
Experience with or knowledge of Marketing Tools such as Unica, Campaign Management
