Position title: Operations Manager – Yankee Candle
Location: Most, Czech
Reports to: Supply Chain Director
Contract type: Permanent, full-timeJob summaryAs an Operations Manager you will provide day-to-day leadership to the Yankee Candle plant team and oversee daily operations from manufacturing, maintenance and quality to office and people management. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director based in UK, you will have 12 direct reports and manage overall team of 500+ employees indirectly. You will drive high performance culture to achieve a seamless, safe and efficient operations flow in our modern, automated manufacturing site in Most.Key responsibilities:

• Build and maintain manufacturing capability to enable profitable growth with hard assets and people requirements over the short-, medium- and long-term horizon
• Drive S&OP process with EMEA planning leader to ensure effective master plan in a ‘build to stock’ model
• Contribute to building programs to ensure customer service delivery is always at required levels, whilst balancing cash investment in raw materials
• Delivering the full P&L commitments for the entire site
• Ensure the effective running of the distribution operations on site, ensuring timely deliveries to customer schedules
• Build continuous improvement culture to encourage innovation and ongoing enhancement how we service customers better as we grow
• Build a proactive safety-oriented culture to deliver a “zero accidents” environment
• Execute corporate HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) program in readiness for annual audits
• Drive ownership and accountability for HSE on site by leading by example
• Working in partnership with global quality team to meet all regulatory and consumer expectations

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of proven work experience as a Plant Manager or Operations Manager, or Production Manager
• Experience in distribution and warehouse management
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and preferably Czech speaking
• Good command of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resources allocation)

Skills and competencies:

• Degree in logistics/operations/business management
• Knowledge of SAP/Oracle and WMS (PkMS) or Manhatten WMi
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
• Influencing and leading skills
• Strong analytical skills
• High energy self-starter, passionate about service level and results driven
