Express Drive (XD) is a strategic Lyft investment redefining the vehicle access landscape for the rideshare industry by offering drivers diverse car rental options according to their needs. Along the way, the Express Drive team builds the fleet management capabilities that are crucial for Lyft’s autonomous future.

We are looking for an experienced business leader who is passionate about the opportunity to build and scale the business operations function as we grow Express Drive. As Senior Manager, Business Operations & Analytics, you will lead strategic analysis, financial modeling, process standardization, and cross-functional initiatives to deliver on our overall financial and business goals. The ideal candidate for the role thrives in a fast-paced culture within a complex problem space, has a proven track record of working cross-functionally to drive results, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to convert ideas to action.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the processes and streamline the operational cadence for running the Express Drive business as required by the leadership
  • Manage, mentor and grow a strong team in support of scaling business operations and business analytics
  • Analyze complex business problems using data from internal and external sources to provide insights to decision-makers
  • Partner with the XD leadership team in constructing forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on financial data, business insights and market knowledge
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive initiatives and projects across product, operations, finance and business
  • Partner with the XD leadership team for annual business planning, KPI setting and goal tracking
  • Act as the Chief of Staff for the Head of Express Drive, establishing organizational priorities, managing cross-functional projects, planning and managing the headcount and budget

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and preferably an MBA from a top business school or equivalent work experience
  • 12+ years of experience with a mix of strategy and business operations in a high growth or complex business, investment banking background with strong analytical exposure and/or role at a top-tier consulting firm. Exposure to technology is a bonus
  • 7+ years of experience in managing teams within the domain of business operations, analytics and strategy
  • Proven success as a highly analytical business operations leader with a track record in driving change and eliminating inefficiencies within business
  • Financial acumen including P&L development, resource planning, and budget management
  • Ability to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively with individual contributors, management, and executive leadership
  • Strong team leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
  • Operationally-focused, process-oriented, data-driven, and simply able to get stuff done
