Job Description

Product Manager, Growth will determine, create, and message the experience that drives all student enrollments. You’ll be defining, planning, and executing on improvements and new features for the entire lead generation process and shaping our place in the market. You will collaborate across the marketing, admissions, and education teams to identify and build the products that are the backbone of Thinkful’s future.

You should be both hands-on and strategic (if you’re looking only to manage or only to execute, this isn’t the right role). A successful candidate will ensure that our products and services resonate across the market while driving the velocity of the product direction by executing across Thinkful to prioritize and meet product development cycles in collaboration with our technical and student-facing teams. This includes prioritizing projects, monitoring students’ experience, defining KPIs, and focusing strategy. You will identify gaps in the product-market fit and generate and roadmap new ideas that ensure students and mentors succeed across all of our programs. You’ll work directly with a team of engineers and designers and collaborate with the rest of the product management team. Responsibilities

• Identify big ideas that move the needle on new and active students (users) and own management and understanding of the core equations that drive growth
• Design and implement user-facing and growth product experiences, tooling, and workflows that allow Thinkful to continue to scale its product offerings. Optimize user journeys from awareness all the way through to activation
• Ship impactful changes and deliver against clear KPIs
• Develop a productive and positive working relationship with designers, engineers, marketers, admissions advisors, education team members, and other stakeholders. Collaborate on projects including messaging, positioning, and overall growth strategy
• Use MVPs and experiments to learn quickly and make data-driven decisions
• Synthesize a deep understanding of user needs with instrumentation and user research. Be a voice of reason, empathy, and assertion for the Thinkful customer and internal teams
• Collaborate on new marketing channel launches and optimizing existing ones
• Ensure that we have the right product velocity by working across the organization to ensure great outcomes

Requirements

• 2+ years in a Product Management role
• Demonstrated success in accelerating customer and revenue growth
• Familiarity with growth equations
• Familiarity with best practices across at least a few different marketing channels
• Deep understanding of best practices with experimentation
• Ability to analyze and use data to inform decisions
• Comfortable leading, taking risks and being wrong. Confident enough in the road map process to say “No” to ideas.
• Able to formulate a clear vision of what a product should be, what it should accomplish, and how to measure success
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• A knack for working with and influencing diverse teams in high accountability, high responsibility environments
• A high-integrity individual who is enthusiastic about building a great company and making a positive impact in the world and on education
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR equivalent training or work experience
