We play an instrumental role in connecting people with the things they need and love, anytime, anywhere. The Americas help deliver a personalized shopping experience and flawless access to inventory from down the street and around the world, as well as tailored shopping experiences, including customized buying and selling. eBay seeks to drive growth into new markets and drive value in the shopping and selling experience through “building, accelerating, and disrupting.” The team is comprised of marketing, merchandising, operations, business selling, consumer selling, and shipping. Our responsibilities include all aspects of the region including operations in the US, Canada and Latin America.

About the team:

We are responsible for all aspects of the candidate and employee experience across eBay. We drive business performance, recruiting, learning and development, compensation, benefits, people experience shared services, and people tools and technologies – and coordinate the continuing evolution of the company's culture.

As the People Experience Advisor, you will-

  • Respond and resolve HR-related inquiries from employees, managers, Centers of Expertise (e.g. Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, and Learning & Organization Development, Payroll) and Vendors via phone, email and letter against agreed Service Level Agreements and utilizes Case Management System to record case notes
  • Maintain accurate employee-related records and data in HR systems (e.g. new hire onboarding, employee separations, leaves of absence, benefits, etc.)
  • Help managers document Corrective Council & Conversation Memos for employees.
  • Approve and facilitate HR transactions as required by automated workflows and processes HR transactions for employees and managers when the primary self-service channel cannot be used
  • Utilize Knowledge Base system to access standard policy and procedure information while partnering with colleagues, COE's and vendors to resolve more complex issues using judgment to call out and route issues to the appropriate specialist where appropriate
  • Help new hires prepare to onboard from the moment they receive their verbal offer all the way to their first day.
  • Participate in People Team related projects (e.g. continuous improvement, crafting policy documentation)
  • The person we are looking for has extensive experience in online or related areas, with at least 2-4 years of full-time employment.
  • We expect the right person to be an experienced in Agile software delivery and have sound knowledge of what it means to build a career in an energizing environment.
  • To succeed in this role, you will need drive, energy and positive mindset to empower others. Furthermore, we need someone who lives and breathes Agile delivery, has impact every single day, and wants to take a leading role in coordinating how we work.
