Job Description

As a Product Specialist, you will focus on educating and evangelizing the commercial organization on Quantcast products. This will include our current line of business, Quantcast Advertise, as well as supporting Quantcast’s most significant product launch in 2020: Q for Marketers (Q4M). He or she will act as the in-market product expert, assisting revenue generation efforts by helping Sales navigate client technical and mechanical questions and vetting technical requirements to confirm prospective client fit. They will also act as a real-time oracle to managed service and Q4M product and program leads, helping to translate and differentiate product requirements, accelerants to usage and “nice to haves”. He or she must be comfortable challenging others, including prospective clients, to think differently about programmatic buying platforms, as well as confidently present and interact with senior level agency and brand executives.

Key Skills/Attributes critical to success:

    • Possess a strong knowledge of the underpinnings of how Internet-driven ad and marketing technology functions including deep understanding of performance marketing, site tagging, DMPs and ad servers
    • Ability to confidently present to customers, including technically-minded ones
    • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills as this role is intended to intermediate among many groups within Quantcast
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by the chaos that can sometimes come with the rapid pace start-up innovation
    • Solid understanding of online advertising - the motivations and tactics used by marketers and importance of programmatic in achieving those goals
    • Active curiosity about the industry and programmatic competitive set
    • Empathy for and basic understanding of the Sales process
    • Desire to understand and differentiate a prospective client’s true need behind the ask
    • Has worked at a competitive DSP or within programmatic divisions of a client or agency where they have had “hands on keyboards” of competitors
    • Excellent note taking and feedback synthesis skills, translating to actionable feedback to Product about prioritization that will open up the largest streams of revenue for Quantcast

Key Requirements

    • 4+ years of relevant client facing and/or sales experience in digital advertising as a Product Specialist, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, Technical Account Manager, Product Manager, SaaS seller or Account Manager
    • Consultative sales approach
    • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Experience working closely with sales, product marketing and product teams
    • Must enjoy being in market and involved in the direct Sales process
    • Can travel up to 25% of time
    • Ability to translate complex details into an easily digestible story/presentation
    • Solid understanding of programmatic ad buying
    • Strong client facing experience
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally and lead internal stakeholders
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to QA own work
    • BA/BS Required
    • Knowledge of mysql and javascript would be a plus
