The team
Our Marketing team creates world-class content and data-driven marketing solutions that communicates the value of DocuSign’s Agreement Cloud to reach more customers and help them understand the potential impact DocuSign can have on their business. We design creative for a new business campaign. Refine messaging around new product launches. Organize captivating customer events. Develop innovative social media campaigns. Collaborate on playbooks and training with the Sales team. Marketing is the face and voice of DocuSign and plays a key, high-impact role in how we tell our story.

This position
The SMB Customer Marketing Director will be responsible for DocuSign’s digital customer expansion strategy and execution. In this role, you’ll identify digital customers with potential to upgrade and develop programs to market additional DocuSign products and use cases. You’ll create campaigns to develop strong pipeline, and you’ll partner with Sales to create a good upsell experience for customers. You’ll be customer focused, detail oriented, and able to deliver against clear goals and metrics.

This position is an individual contributor reporting to the Senior Director, SMB Demand Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop insights on DocuSign’s Digital customers and partner with the analytics team to identify segments most likely to benefit from expanding to Commercial accounts.
  • Create value-based messaging for email campaigns and in-product messaging to drive pipeline for Commercial sales
  • Partner with the Digital business team to determine appropriate usage-based triggers and corresponding messaging.
  • Provide enablement for Sales and Marketing Development Reps, as well as Account Executives, to follow up with targeted Digital customers. Help sellers bring the DocuSign Agreement Cloud story to life for these customers.
  • Consider A/B testing and qualitative research to validate the approach.
  • Monitor the customer experience through the upgrade process and advocate for program refinements if needed to improve the customer experience.
  • Track performance against quarterly pipeline targets and recommend additional campaigns or programs if needed to address pipeline gaps.
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate on the upgrade program with partners in the digital business, sales, sales development, sales enablement, and product management.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree
  • 12+ years of marketing and sales experience focused on the SMB segment, preferably with high-growth, technology SaaS companies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Experience and strength in collaborating across marketing, sales and product organizations
  • Passionate about creating great customer experiences
  • Strong project management and ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple workstreams
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and Eloqua a plus
