We're looking for a Director of Engineering to join Monetization! Monetization team builds Snap’s revenue platform and we are responsible for providing Snapchat’s solutions for businesses and for maximizing monetization across the service. We focus on driving measurable return on investment for businesses. We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to help support our teams solving interesting technical challenges, building world-class experiences in Snapchat and maintaining software and a platform used by millions every day. Working from our Seattle office, you’ll manage teams in Seattle, Los Angeles and New York and collaborate with leaders and executives across Snap to deliver the highest quality for our product.

What you'll do:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of part of the Monetization Engineering team across multiple offices
• Actively participate as a member of the Snap Engineering and Monetization leadership teams
• Develop organizational-level goals and drive the technical and organizational roadmap for the engineering team
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Product and Engineering teams distributed across multiple offices
• Build and grow a team of exceptional software engineers and technical leaders
• Influence key decisions on architecture and implementation of scalable, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions
• Mentor a team of engineering managers and senior independent contributors
• Iterate quickly without compromising quality and raise the bar on operational excellence

Minimum qualifications:

• BS/BA in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of software engineering experience
• 6+ years of experience managing a team

Preferred qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience leading a large team at scale and managing engineering with an eye to driving efficiency
• Previous experience partnering with cross-functional executives and management across a globally distributed organization
• Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-site, multi-stakeholder environments
• Deep knowledge of and experience working with a diverse group of engineers
• Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-site, multi-stakeholder environments
• Someone who loves to learn, and is passionate about helping others
• Experience with Ad Tech
• Experience with mobile apps development
• Experience with UI, API and Data platforms
