Job Description
Lab Manager in managing the day to day operations of the Infotainment and Connectivity lab, to include lab organization, lab set up, lab space access and security, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Job Responsibilities: · Ensure proper level of staffing, training and resource coordination to support the Labs · Implement Lab policies and procedure. Provide training: lab safety, regulatory reqts, cleanliness, security, etc. to lab personnel · Ensure compliance with Corp Policies and regulatory/Safety reqts · Manage lab inventory – equipment, supplies · Coordinate and facilitate Lab set up and Lab moves, to include coordinate with equipment vendors and facilities personnel to set up and install and maintain lab equipment. Assist with deliveries of lab equipment and supplies. · Assist in planning long lead lab requirements · Work with the engineering teams to optimize lab space utilization and lab equipment utilization across all labs · Build and manage test benches at scale and for high availability · Take care of procurement needs for the bench build-out · Work with IT for bench accessibility and other needs · Take care of procurement needs for the bench build-out · Work with facilities for short and long term lab needs · Build out specific rigs like audio boxes, miniature version of 360 vision setup etc Requirements: · Must have experience setting up and maintaining mechanical and electrical labs · Automotive experience preferred · Experience managing Vehicle Bays · 5 years Management Experience; direct experience hiring, managing and overseeing activities of full-time technicians/lab personnel · Bachelors degree in technical field · Strong organizational skills · Excellent communication skills · Experience working with Cross functional teams Rivian is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind: Rivian is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
