Job Description
Trimble is recruiting for a Customer Quality Manager to fill an opportunity in Seoul, Korea.
Customer Quality:
Direct first level contact for Trimble automotive and timing customers in Korea.
Quick study of customer quality issues, communicating/coordinating with local Korea team and Head Office for effective flow of information and actions.
Defect Analysis:
Work with customer, engineering (FAE, Hardware, Software), Failure Analysis team, component suppliers, and contract manufacturers to investigate, identify and clearly document issues related to defect analysis and corrective action documentation and implementation using statistical tools such as 8D , Pareto, FMEA, Weibull plots.
Quality Systems:
Provide support to customers for PPAP, FMEA, 4M change, customer component data inputs such as IMDS, e-CIM, and quality audit questionnaires etc.
Effectively drive continuous improvement and adherence to quality plan and systems.
Prepare customer quality metrics and coordinate quality ratings for management review.
Ensure that the quality process is in compliance with the ISO and [regulatory] standards.
Supplier Quality:
Drive and facilitate focused evaluation of quality problems with suppliers.
Initiate and monitor CAPAs, and work with suppliers to achieve timely and comprehensive corrective actions in a manner that prevents reoccurrence.
Continually work with suppliers to improve performance, implement process control and quality plans Interact routinely with Purchasing, Engineering and Suppliers to proactively improve quality of components.
Analyze data and identify opportunities to improve supplier quality and service levels through the use of best continuous improvement practices such as Lean, Six Sigma.
Measures of Success:
Lead cross–functional Product Quality Teams
Publish actions and agenda items for PQTs
Drive full corrective action and closure of all activity relating to product quality improvement
Generate, publish and distribute field failure rates
Participate in and support supplier qualification activity
Understand, promote, and encourage the full use of Remedy capabilities
Assist Product Engineering in the creation of product quality plans
Generate personal activity reports
Monitor field failure rates for specific key accounts
Drive reduction of NPF returns
Define and implement closed loop communication methods with customer, supplier and internal team.
Interact with both internal and external customers to better understand current issues
Work with RFCs to improve upon and streamline order fulfillment and product configuration processes
Development of technical solutions to quality issues based on technical expertise
Skills & Experience Required:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Korean and English.
Excellent technical skills to quickly understand product specifications, interaction of hardware and software in customer, production and failure analysis environments.
Ability to work in fast-moving environment with changing priorities.
Analytical and problem-solving skills and good Interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work and perform in team environments.
Proven ability to resolve issues and participate in process improvement activities.
Experience/Knowledge in Quality Systems (ISO 9000/TS16949), Supplier Quality Management, 8D, FMEA, PPAP.
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting using instruments such as multi meter/oscilloscope.
Basic soldering/de-soldering skills is a plus.
