Position Summary

NOTE- This role can be based anywhere in the Western Region.

The Regional Sales Manager supports a Director of Sales in managing a sales team that creates business relationships in both CDK and Competitive Accounts in a geographic territory. The Regional Sales Managers key focus is Coaching specific sales tasks, and focusing on helping the most challenged Account Executives consistently hit their quarterly quotas. Insuring a high-performance (Larger Middle Class of Performers) sales team whose objective is to increase revenue for CDK by expanding the share of wallet of CDK customers and growing new market share through conquest sales.

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

Support building a successful sales team:

  • Develop, coach, motivate and lead a sales team of quota-carrying sales reps
  • Support Effectively on-board new associates
  • Guide sales team through a consistent and prescriptive sales process
  • Develop sales team’s critical skill sets and competencies. Provide skill coaching and attend client sites with reps on a regular basis to ensure measureable progress.
  • Driving revenue
  • In-field DAE development through four-legged sales calls, training, and coaching
  • Removing obstacles that prevent closing business
  • Provide team resources for DAEs including assistance and training to create solution recommendations without requiring outside assistance and support
  • Accelerate providing education and knowledge that accelerates opportunity growth and advancement of opportunities toward closing
  • Support DOS in setting performance expectations, measuring and holding team members accountable for performance.

Develop and implement a sales strategy to successfully grow revenues and market share in assigned territory:

  • Support Director of Sales in assessing assigned territory and understand its makeup; provide feedback information about market conditions and plan sales strategy accordingly
  • Conduct deal-level coaching with sales team to help progress deals
  • Understand competitive landscape and develop effective strategies to aggressively attack and conquer the competition
  • Support Director of Sales Achieve/exceed annual team QC plan and strive to lead each sales team associate to achieve Presidents Club

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of CDK products and processes
  • 3 years of experience in a CDK quota-carrying sales role, with a demonstrated track record of success or equivalent experience
  • Ability to attract, train and retain top sales talent
  • Expertise in participating in face-to-face client calls, closing deals, and building quality customer relationships
  • Ability to travel extensively
