Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Develop innovative solutions in data science, predictive modeling, computer vision, novel workflow for precision diagnosis in the domains of radiology, oncology and cardiology. You will work with a team of data scientists developing new concepts, propositions, technologies and demonstrators that bring new insights from a combination of multiple healthcare data sources.

You are responsible for

  • Focusing on research, development and evaluation of first-of-kind algorithms and prototypes for improving workflows in radiology and publish in appropriate scientific community
  • Applying your knowledge in data science, applied machine/deep learning to research innovative solutions and implement proof-of-concept prototypes with agile software development tools
  • Interacting with business stakeholders and customers to understand problems, share insights and best practices
  • Developing intellectual property and deliver high-quality innovations to the business with performance validated on datasets from customers and clinical collaborators
  • Designing and participate in clinical studies, develop and publish clinical evidence and help build collaborative relationships with external partners, scientific community, and governmental resources.
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary teams to contribute to research and development with new business models for solutions and services

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • A doctoral degree and an academic curriculum in biomedical engineering, medical informatics, computer science, medicine, and/or a related field;
  • Expertise in developing data science solutions employing advanced machine learning or deep learning pipelines;
  • Expertise in developing real-time solutions on cloud platforms
  • Software prototyping experience in a clinically oriented research environment, with programming experience at least one of the following Python, Java, R, C#, C/C++;
  • Publications in scientific journals/conferences;
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams;
  • Taking initiative and ownership, driving for results, and team-player;
  • Flexible and quick-learner;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

In addition, the following skills and experience would be a plus:

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience in real-time data analysis, large scale analytics, or using databases on cloud platforms
  • Experience with relevant data visualization tools;
  • Understanding of business and economic considerations associated with healthcare innovation.
