Job Description
The Online Technical Project Manager, reporting into the Online DevSecOps Lead, will be responsible for managing the DevSecOps portfolio including working with an experienced cross-functional team whereby you will be conceiving and designing innovative solutions that will secure our cutting-edge digital platform! As the Technical Program Manager, you will work in collaboration with multiple teams to deliver functionality that each team will be responsible for. Your role will account for the core foundation that holds the teams together. As Technical Program Manager, you will identify dependencies and technical risks that affect the various teams that you will represent.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing, driving, and prioritizing the DevOps Pipeline, to include its services, storage, applications, security and network architecture; consisting of several complex compute environments that form the backbone for the operational deployment of multi-product baselines and functionality. In addition, the candidate must communicate any risks or issues involving system performance, availability, or security, to his or her project leadership, while maintaining cost and schedule for the overall effort. Previous experience with AgileE(SAFE) Framework would be a plus. You will also have good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail and good presentation skills. This role will also involve frequent face-to-face meetings with business representatives and outside agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with cross functional teams to assist with project scoping, requirement gathering
- Working closely with the assigned engineering teams to clearly understand the assumptions, technical requirements
- Acting as the guardian of all project documentation – ensure that all documentation is consistent and fit for purpose before being sent to the SME and architects to review
- Escalating issues/concerns immediately in order to avert projects running over time/budget
- Completing reports on project timeline and be able to communicate any identified dependencies to have a clear escalation path in timely and accurate manner
- Ensuring that all risks and issues are communicated to stakeholders
- Work collaboratively at all times ensuring that your communication style is consistent, clear and open
- Ensure that your approach to the process is flexible – positively find solutions to problems whilst assessing the commercial impact of decisions made.
- Develop strong relationships with both the engineering teams where more potential opportunities of collaboration are identified and shared
- Track progress and negotiate deadlines
- Extract technical details from conversations and have a technical acumen to understand software development life cycle.
Qualifications- Exhibits an understanding of project management skills; additional agile knowledge preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to develop training materials and documentation.
- Extremely detailed oriented and organized.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Comfortable with change and complexity in dynamic environments. Can shift readily between the "big picture" and the small-but-crucial details, knowing when to concentrate on each.
- Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.
- Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics.
- Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.
- Experience facilitating technical discussions with the team, supporting and resolving technical issues
- Experience answering high level technical questions without a dependency on additional technical resources
- Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.
- General knowledge of Cloud, and principles behind cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP
- Ability to understand the protocols for user acceptance testing, and agile development.
