As a product manager, you'll re-envision the slow, laborious processes that create friction - and you will turn them into a streamlined digital experience. You’ll then turn them into a suite of apps that can easily be deployed on Salesforce’s Health Cloud platform.

Every Product Manager at Vlocity has two facets of their product ownership responsibility - industry and function.

1. The first facet is aimed at owning an industry-specific market segment . Here, we expect you to be the industry expert and help represent our vertical know-how to our prospects, customers, partners, and our employees.

2. The second facet is to go deep on one or more of our functional product capabilities. Here, we expect you to be the go-to person to answer the hardest questions on the use of a specific product or two - regardless of the industry or markets segment application.

Vlocity is looking for a design-savvy product leader to manage our Vlocity Social Housing and Social Insurance (sometimes called Workers Compensation) market segment products, as well as our Housing, Claims, and Onboarding suite of capabilities.

Market Segment Product Ownership

Vlocity Market Segments are the business markets and sub-groups of buyers that have some type of shared characteristics. Our Segments consist of existing and potential customers. As a product manager, you will define and manage the products we bring to market for these users.

• Social Insurance is a type of government program which performs general insurance functions such as premiums and claims management in the context of government use cases, such as Workers compensation schemes, Transport and accident insurance schemes, and Disability insurance schemes.
• Social Housing, also called Public Housing, is a form of housing tenure in which the property is usually owned by a government authority, which may be central or local. Social homes are provided by housing associations (not-for-profit organizations that own, let, and manage rented housing) or a local council. Social Tenants rent the home from the housing association or council, who is the landlord. Social homes have rents pegged to local incomes and provide an affordable, secure housing option.
• Social Assistance is a cloud-based social assistance solution that manages the coordination of health, behavioral health, and social services programs using a client-centered approach. The solution supports agencies helping to improve the wellbeing of citizens through more efficient and effective use of partner resources, as well as tools to manage program eligibility, approvals, enrollments, and progression. Provides a system of record for assistance programs, beneficiaries, and service providers that is extensible via API. Throughout the lifecycle of each program enrollment documentation is automatically generated using data captured from the system.

Functional Product Ownership

Vlocity Business Modules are a set of Vlocity Solution Components designed to digitally transform a government agency's front and middle office. As a product manager, you will use these Vlocity Vertical Modules, which are managed by you, or possibly another product manager, and make them viable for Vlocity Health & Public Health.

• Vlocity Claims Management is designed to handle citizenand provider claim administration, invoicing, management, payments, and denials
• Vlocity Onboarding Management is designed to orchestrate various long running processes such as :
• Onboarding a new 3rd party provider into a program to provide approved and credentialed services
• Creating and performing multi step manual/automated actions related to a person’s enrollment into a program
• Performing changes to an enrollment when requested by the person or a member of the Orchestration team working on the project(s)
• Vlocity Social Housing is designed to make the management, occupancy, and compliance of social housing simple for citizens, providers, and agencies

Vlocity Digital Portals

Vlocity’s Government applications are 100% native and additive to the Salesforce platform and all of them can be configured without code. Vlocity Digital Portals can be deployed on Salesforce.com Communities, Salesforce.com Sites, Heroku, and other web platforms. The Digital Portals include solutions for:

• Providers for all functionality stated above to self-serve referral partners
• Consumers for all functionality stated above to self-serve members/citizens

This position reports to the SVP & General Manager, Vlocity Health & Health Insurance.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with solution architects and partner technical teams to define the solution architecture required to implement best practice cases. Document requirements for required Vlocity product changes or data model extensions. Work with our implementation experts to develop delivery assets (e.g. presentations, white papers, technical guides) to support Vlocity service teams and partners in strategic delivery projects.

Lead stand-up meetings with design and engineering teams as required that incorporate Agile product development techniques. Work with design and engineering teams to plan, organize and deliver product releases on-time. This includes product specifications, QA test plans, and release documentation.

Work closely with client services to understand customer needs. You will be embedded as needed to do architectural and UI reviews and gather complex feedback and will manage communications with the customer team for the design and status of any product enhancements that stem from customer implementations.

Work closely with the sales organization to understand new industry requirements and trends that they are seeing in the market and then convert these into product capabilities where applicable. Assist the sales team during sales pursuits by providing subject matter expertise related to responsible product functional areas, which could include building demo assets and performing in person / online presentations to prospects / customers. Assist the sales team in reviewing and assisting with tender responses relevant to product areas of responsibility.

Become a deep expert on Salesforce/Salesforce Community functionality. The more you know about how Salesforce works and where its limits are, the more effective you are at creating specs for features that are built on Salesforce.

Research competitive product offerings and identify ways to differentiate our solution. Create compelling product demonstrations and useful collateral.

Desired Qualifications

• Success as a Product Owner in an agile development process
• Track record of bringing multiple quality products to market or into production.
• Stellar academic background (Bachelor or equivalent required, MBA preferred)
• 5+ years of professional experience, including 5 years with health/insurance applications
• Excellent design skills - both UX and visual
• Technical chops to take declarative tools and build solutions
• A deep understanding of Salesforce
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Highly organized and can work independently and with a team
• Enjoys the challenges and opportunities of a startup, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Has a track record of success at a software vendor, system integrator or IT shop
• Experience working at or with large health insurance companies
• US Work Permit Required
