Test Engineering Lead

Job Description

THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL DO : · Lead a team of engineers to plan, execute, and report vehicle testing at the Arizona Proving Grounds · Support off-site testing like cold weather, hot weather, public road, etc. if necessary · Work with shop technicians and drivers to support test execution · Assist in the development of mule test planning high level timing plans, mule builds, data analysis, control system data collection and some calibration · Create test design documentation including test instructions, specifications, drawings and verification plans · Manage on-site test instrumentation · Drive prototype vehicles during certain tests · Support internal and external drive events · Engage in subjective evaluation to identify system failure modes · Coordinate spare parts needed to manage test up-time · Help plan modifications to test track to support test execution THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL NEED : · 10+ years in a similar role · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university · Experience leading a team of engineers · Experience running and maintaining a variety of vehicle level and component level tests · Team first mentality · Innate curiosity about all things automotive · Ability to work autonomously THIS IS WHERE YOU’LL WORK : Department: Testing and Development Location: Wittmann, AZ ABOUT RIVIAN: Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever.
