Job Description

Thinkful, a business unit within Chegg, is looking for a Senior Product Manager to define, build and manage our data model and related end to end systems for the entire business. This individual works across the entire company to define all data tooling at Thinkful, from infrastructure, reporting, analysis, and data science, working alongside dedicated data engineering and Salesforce teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced product manager with a technical background, capable of working across a 1,000+ person company to prioritize all business needs for data into a single backlog for engineering and salesforce. Chegg is known for accurate, actionable, and rich data – this is the ideal opportunity to build and grow this function within Thinkful.

Responsibilities

• Turn Thinkful’s strategic initiatives into a roadmap for data engineering, including prioritization, sizing, and communication.
• Deliver the data roadmap in collaboration with data engineering.
• Represent all data engineering needs from Finance, Product, Business, Data Analysis, Data Science, Infrastructure, and Operations teams for strategic planning.
• Align stakeholders to make the right compromises to deliver strong data systems in the long-term and business value in the short-term.
• Work with Data Analysis & Data Science teams so they can deliver insights across the Thinkful business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of product management experience OR equivalent training or work experience.
• At least 5 years of in-field experience with data models at scale, preferably at a public company.
• Experience in SQL, R, Python for data analysis, modeling and visualization.
• Experience in utilizing industry-standard product management processes.
• Experience with Salesforce as source of truth for data models.
• Experience with in-house built tools and cloud services for data storage, ETL, and related.
