Marketing Localization Manager

Location: Santa Clara, CA

This position reports to: Senior Manager Localization

In this role you get to:

  • Own, administer and optimize existing Localization workflows and processes
  • Work closely with the rest of the localization team, as well as development, QA, design, SEO, UX, UI, and other teams to align our translated sites with i18n best practices.
  • Work with web design, development and business analyst teams to advocate for and ensure adherence to those standards throughout development process.
  • Partner with our language service providers to establish a set of milestones in order to successfully administer and maintain a set of Localized websites. Report on KPIs and budget data.
  • Lead various major/global initiatives and projects. Represent localization perspective during project planning and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain project plans. Document processes and best practices for l10n.
  • Contribute to the localization strategy and optimization goals aimed at achieving greater efficiency. Seek continuous improvement in the quality assurance processes.
  • Be the main initial point of contact by other US based departments and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status and localization data to internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Administering our global TMS tool. This includes (but is not limited to):
    • Managing user setup, rate cards, workflows, projects, estimates, LQA quality scoring, etc.
    • Documenting best practices around TMS usage.
    • Providing training for users, as needed.
    • Submitting and tracking system defects to resolution by TMS providers.
    • TMS integrations and add-ons (i.e. for “in-context review” and “in-context translation” functionality).
  • Be a ServiceNow evangelist of “all things i10n”
  • Develop and maintain key relationships across the organization.

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

  • Strategic thinking. Helping, in close collaboration with other stakeholders, to build and execute on strategic projects for process improvement and technical innovation to evolve l10n processes, tools and best practices and scale to meet the changing needs of our growing business.
  • Flexibility to respond, and react to changing priorities efficiently and quickly
  • Pro -active and self-motivated, with demonstrated creative and critical capabilities
  • TMS (Translation Management System) working knowledge
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager and other Adobe tools is a plus
  • 4 + years of project management experience
  • Two + years of content/localization management experience
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and questioning current practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
