*Based in San Francisco, CA or 100% Remote (Based in the U.S.)*
NerdWallet is seeking a driven Business Development Senior Manager supporting the Home Loans business. This individual will have the unique opportunity to lead and develop a key function of the business for a fast growing and innovative mature startup.
A successful candidate will be able to cultivate strong relationships with key partners and internal stakeholders, identifying opportunities to drive value for consumers, partners and the organization. As part of a larger BD team that is supporting all verticals, they will be responsible for one direct report, overseeing partner relationships and program operations, while collaborating directly with the category General Manager, Marketing, Traffic, and Product leads to gain buy-in and execute initiatives. We are looking for a candidate that is capable of finding balanced solutions to complex problems in often ambiguous situations.
The position reports to the head of Partnerships and Business Development, who is located remotely in Chicago. This role can either be located remotely or at corporate headquarters in San Francisco. Expect 15%-25% travel across the U.S. to partners and HQ (if remote).

You are:

- Quick to learn: Ability to deal w/ many partners with varying needs across multiple product categories while coordinating with various internal teams
- Strong communicator and influencer: Ability to craft unified messages across different audience types; partners, team, collaborators, executives, etc.
- Never quit mentality: Ability to pursue and run with multiple initiatives while understanding that, given the nature of business, very few may actually go to market or be fruitful
Your experience:
- 6+ years of experience in strategic and B2B roles with proven results from taking strategy through successful execution
- Experience working with or for other digital affiliates, online-based businesses, and/or consumer acquisition
- Proven track record of delivering and exceeding business results
- Deep understanding of mortgage lending business models, products and strategies
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to become an expert
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and influencing across the company in a matrixed environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in home lending; issuer or affiliate function
