You will:

  • Develop cross-functional relationships with both internal and external customers enabling the growth of a high performing safety culture
  • Encourage and provide positive recognition via available sources
  • Identify areas of improvement within EHS program and provide solutions
  • Be involved in and responsible for the development, enforcement and periodic review of company policies/ procedures/program
  • Review Ericsson employee and Ericsson subcontractor JHA documentation for complete identification of job scope, tasks, hazards and mitigations
  • Provide clear guidance, training and share best practices
  • Support and conduct jobsite inspections to identify and initiate corrective actions and document observed safe and unsafe work practices or conditions
  • Assist operations when needed for essential task training
  • Recommend and/or conduct additional individual and/ or group training via instructor led courses and/or stand-up safety meetings
  • Support Management with training documentation for workforce as requested
  • Manage and/or support thru closure all facets of both internal and external incidents. (i.e. iestigation, corrective action tracking, work status reports, doctor visits, follow-up calls, face to face conversations, & environmental notifications)
  • Serve as a resource to both internal and external customers regarding federal, state and local regulatory standards and company policy

To be successful in the role, you must:

  • Be willing to travel up to 75% of the time and in some cases on short notice
  • Be willing to take and handle support calls outside normal business hours
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Have a recognized formal college degree, preferably in Safety or similar field.
  • Have 3-5 years of EHS safety experience in the construction industry
  • Have a good working knowledge of OSHA standards
  • Posess some form of Hazardous Materials training (HazWoper, GHS, Etc... )
  • Be physically and mentally able to handle the stress of the environment and job

You might also have:

      • Possess a Board of Certified Safety Professionals certification (CSP,CHST, STS, etc.)
      • The ability to speak languages other than English (Spanish, Russian, etc)
      • Train the trainer certifications in relevanet topics (confined spaces, scaffolding, aerial lifts, etc)
