Job Description

Due to the current health crisis related to COVID-19 and the escalating visa/travel restrictions in place, we're currently unable to extend offers to anyone who cannot work from Japan due to lockdown visa/travel restrictions, or other restrictive measures until further notice. Consequently, we will be prioritizing candidates who can start in this location by set date as expected. We're keeping the situation under review and would adjust our position should the restrictive measures be removed later on.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 6 years of equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience translating data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with analysis and modeling of attribution datasets.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Japanese fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience using website analytics platforms (Google Analytics and other measurement suite products), brand analysis techniques (upper funnel analysis) and google search (Google Ads)
  • Experience in dealing with and influencing senior advertiser and agency decision makers and presenting data/results to senior audiences
  • Experience with measuring ad effectiveness using controlled experiments (e.g., geo area or cookie split tests)
  • Experience manipulating large datasets (e.g., SQL, Google BigQuery)

This role is a member of the Large Customer Sales (LCS) Business Insights and Analytics team, which is responsible for delivering data-driven insights, analysis and consultation to support LCS’s sales growth. As an Analytical Consultant within LCS, you will be a strategic analyst, advisor and consultant, providing insights to clients and agencies to help grow their business. You will use your critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills to influence thoughtful and well-informed decision making with our most advanced customers. You will drive the marketing analytics strategy including analytics, measurement and data integration.
This is a great opportunity to provide analytical thought leadership and innovation to our most advanced clients in JP. In this client facing role you will be working closely with sales teams in LCS and platforms to drive long term growth for our customers.

We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Use advanced data analytics to develop solutions and uncover opportunities for client business and marketing challenges to drive long-term growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Advise client partners on methodologies for marketing and media analytics, data integration and customer segmentation. Drive excellent measurement solutions and help customers navigate industry standards and alternatives.
  • Build and present business and media solutions to customers based on industry and consumer trends and develop insights from our wealth of data.
  • Develop relationships with marketing analytics counterparts, earn their trust and influence decisions.
  • Partner with internal and external product, research, data and measurement teams to bring full analytical and measurement capabilities to our customers.
