Vehicle Diagnostics Engineer

Job Description

This is what you’ll do: · The Vehicle Diagnostics Engineer will develop and maintain the overall vehicle diagnostics strategy. · Define a vehicle behavior based on DTC priority. · Design a vehicle driving profile with ADAS feature. · Define a vehicle data and communicate with a domain control ECU. · Develop a test case for vehicle diagnostic. · Validate a vehicle diagnostic feature with CANoe and CDD/ODX. · Consult with internal and external customers on Vehicle Diagnostics related issues. This is what you’ll need: · Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering. · Hands on test experience in ADAS/Gateway/Dynamic/Powertrain system. · Background specifically developing and maintaining a test case and requirement of ADAS/Gateway/Dynamic/Powertrain system. · 3+ years’ EV experience. · Experience with bus standards such as CAN, CANFD, LIN, and Ethernet. · At least 5 years’ experience using Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, or similar applications. · Strong knowledge of UDS ISO-14229 / ISO-15765 / SAE J1979 / J2534 · Strong interpersonal skills. · Ability to be creative/resourceful - to work in a fast-paced start-up environment. Additional preferred skills: · Experience or exposure to SAE J2012 · Experience with vehicle network architecture. · JAVA / CAPL Experience · Experience with configuration management and collaboration software (GIT, JAMA, etc.) Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever.
