The Supply Chain department consists of Operations, Transportation, Inventory, Fulfillment and Reverse logistics. Supply Chain is focused on providing the best experience regardless of where goods are manufactured or shipped from. The goal is to delight our customer’s needs by providing next day delivery across the country.
As a Fulfillment Center Manager, you will:
- Review metrics daily to monitor fulfillment center performance; follow-up when necessary.
- Ensure maximum fulfillment center efficiency by scheduling and delegating responsibilities to TM's and Leads each day.
- Fully understand, drive, and follow up with all Spreetail Fulfillment Standard Operating Procedures.
- Hold leads accountable to maintain a clean, clutter free work environment.
- Oversee the cross-training process performed by the FC Leads.
- Actively seek feedback from direct reports and Regional Fulfillment Manager to continue to improve leadership skills.
- Facilitate conversations with individual TM's and FC Leads to maximize training opportunities, address concerns, and contribute to TM growth & leadership development.
- Maintain open and consistent communication with TM's and FC Leads on a regular basis.
- Earn the buy-in of your team on new initiatives and roll-outs; always maintain a positive attitude.
- Analyze data to foresee volume increases and decreases; prepare the team and facility appropriately to maintain operating standards.
- Runs a financially responsible facility by realizing and correcting financial bleeds within the FC process.
- Have full understanding of facility and network P&L. Identify trends, opportunities and threats and act in accordance to mitigate or take advantage of trends.
- Partner internally and externally across the business to review market trends and areas of opportunity in our growth.
- Recognize your team for a job well-done and celebrate team wins together.
- Regularly reach out to other departments (Customer Experience, Vendor Management, Accounting, Etc.) to ensure shipping/receiving issues are being addressed proactively and effectively.
- Anticipate shipping delays and work with HQ partners and vendors to minimize impact on the customer.
- Partner with facility manager to ensure mutual understanding of direction and be an advocate for network and facility performance
- Drive process improvement efforts amongst the team; identify ways to be more efficient and effective with safety, compliance and productivity in mind.
- Verify that all items are packaged correctly; Identify data integrity issues and correct the problem.
- Make certain the FC is fully stocked with shipping supplies, as well as general supplies for normal and efficient operation.
- Anticipate the changes in our growing business and be prepared to lead projects that will align our FC network with those foreseeable changes.
