Manager, Change Management – Commercial Bank Credit Solutions

As a Change Management Leader for Commercial Bank Credit Solutions, you will be part of a smart, talented team responsible for leading a large-scale strategic change management initiative for Capital One’s Commercial Bank impacting both associates and clients. Long term, you will support a variety of change efforts (product, risk, process, organizational) within the Commercial Bank and in support of the Credit Solutions transformation agenda. You will educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of change management practices to ensure effective execution of change each and every time.

As successful candidate will have proven experience and knowledge of the discipline of change management (the people side of change), including common principles, methodologies and tools used by practitioners. Very strong influencing and problem-solving skills, as well as exceptional communications skills at all levels is required. Building win-win partnerships with multiple stakeholders and navigating complex, competing priorities are also default essentials for this role.

Responsibilities :

  • Work independently with project and product teams for strategic programs / initiatives to understand critical business requirements, change impact and to architect change management strategies
  • Partner with change management team and communications and marketing resources to ensure alignment on change impact, messaging, audience, timing and approach based on change management objectives
  • Collaborate with HR, Training and other appropriate organizations to provide coaching, training, and / or leadership development (as required) for all levels of the organization on behavioral skills necessary to lead and manage change effectively
  • Create, manage and integrate change management routines and channels within the Commercial organization to ensure optimal engagement of associates and leaders
  • Apply change management best practices to build change practitioner competencies within team and across the Commercial organization to ensure appropriate integration and deployment of key change management strategies on initiatives
  • Utilize metrics to monitor adoption and effectiveness, to identify resistance, performance gaps, and to develop action plans
  • Champion changes across Commercial to help others deliver improvements that increase associate engagement and transfer knowledge

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Change Management practitioner
  • At least 1 year of direct experience managing change for large-scale change efforts using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • At least 1 year of experience in People Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial services or bank industry experience
  • At least 1 year of experience as an Instructional Designer
  • Prosci or other change management certification or designation highly desired
