The Senior Data Analyst / Data Czar is responsible for ensuring all data required to successfully deliver Governance Technology Compliance against security controls is made available, properly sourced and overall aligned with reporting within the governance program. Will perform detailed data analysis and communicate the results of that analysis to senior staff members and customers. This person will be responsible for managing the highest levels of data quality while integrating new sources of data as well as performing forensic data analysis on legacy data sources. Experience handling, analyzing and reporting on data is essential to meeting position requirements that include the detailed and deep analysis of data sources, ability to make decisions and recommendations on the basis of that analysis, and coordination of projects with multiple cross functional teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Work collaboratively with Tech Governance Enablement SMEs to understand the business requirements for each process areas in specific to those related to open audit findings
  • Work closely with the Enterprise Control Owners, Alliance Governance Directors for each Alliance and their respective Process Owners and Managers for each process area to understand their respective data dictionaries and the ETL process from applicable databases into a centralized repository
  • Work with the technical team within for each Alliance team to develop and automate the reporting process and ensuring reports are consistent and meeting the reporting mandates of the Tech Governance Enablement Team
  • Work with the technical team within for each Alliance team to automate the operational reporting generation and distribution process, whenever possible
  • Attend customer-facing meetings and respond to questions / analysis requests using data analysis techniques
  • Mine databases for the purpose of understanding data lineage in legacy systems
  • Understand the implications of integrating new data into production platforms
  • Write business requirements and business rules for managing and integrating data into commercial databases
  • Communicate effectively across all parts of the organization to execute data integration initiatives and ensure the highest level of data quality
  • Develop testing procedures and acceptance criteria for database development projects to ensure technology implementations are correct and file quality meets acceptance criteria
  • Coordinate and resolve customer issues rooted in issues with data quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent
  • 7+ years experience in Data Analytics, Statistics, and Data Modeling leveraging data quality tools (SQL, SAS, BI, ETL, R, Python, etc.)
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of commercial data for credit, marketing and data management applications including Corporate Hierarchy and business ownership is highly desired
  • Self-starter with the ability to dig for answers without heavy direct instruction
  • Good organization and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional organization
  • Understanding of databases and database technology
  • Experience in technical / security projects
  • Self-motivated problem solver who thrives in a dynamic and customer-focused environment
  • Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, respond to customer needs quickly and effectively, and adapt to change
  • Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly
  • Work and navigate in a highly dynamic environment

Extra Points for any of the Following

  • 2+ years driving FedRAMP documentation practices and can function as FedRAMP SME
