Description:

Providence is calling a Perioperative Operations Manager (Operating Room, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:

  • Usesindependent judgment, effectively recommending and/or taking action related to interviewing, hiring, transferring, promoting, evaluating performance, and disciplinary action. Handle employee complaints and concerns. Supervise the daily workflow of Perioperative Services Information System Analysts and Registrars.
  • Monitor the financial operations of the services including participation and development of both operational and capital budgets. Collaborate with Perioperative Clinical Managers to establish operational and capital budgets in conjunction with an action plan that will accomplish departmental goals. Prepare financial reports to assist clinical and financial management in their efforts to control costs and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor supply and product usage in compliance with Materials Management and participates as needed in the Value Analysis Committee. Provide processes to ensure adequate levels of inventory. Collaborates with Materials Management and clinical staff of Surgical Services in identifying areas for supply/utilization expense reductions.
  • Participate on committee as assigned in order to improve organizational systems, communications and operations.
  • Collaborate with the System Administrator of departmental computer systems (ie.HSM McKesson), including upgrades and implementation projects while maintaining knowledge in GAAP and other Finance computer systems.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting or Business
  • 4 years of progressively responsible experience in Accounting.

Preferred:

  • CPA or CMA certification
