As a Back-End Materials Operation Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will manage the business allocation of back end materials by suppliers across all factories in back end network that meets Micron commercial interest. In this role, you are expected to collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups including procurement category, materials planning, supply chain, central planning, costing and site function teams. You are an individual contributor assuming an indirect leadership role working in a team setting to support the development and implementation of back end strategy to optimize cost and mitigate supply risk.

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist Back End Materials Category Manager / Director on the following key activities:

• Lead and/or participate in dual materials sourcing activities including qualification of new sources
• Responsible in implementation and use of qualified alternate materials across the network
• Responsible in monitoring the business and supply allocation by suppliers across the network that meets cost and risk goals
• Partner with procurement functional teams and other internal stakeholders to define and drive materials sourcing strategy
• Ensure sufficient materials supply and capacity availability to meet the current and future demand including buffer inventory
• Review status of materials liabilities and take actions to minimize financial impact
• Point of contact to coordinate unplanned materials supply crisis events such as factory shut down, raw materials shortage, etc
• Create and foster a collaborative environment with suppliers to generate optimum value to the Micron network.
• Collaborate internally to drive and develop key performance measures/metrics and monitor supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement
